Short-Term Class Descriptions

Long Term Care Nurse Aide (LTCNA)

LTCNA is 96 hours in length with 24 hours being in a clinical setting. LTCNA plays a vital role in a healthcare team. They help patients with routine healthcare needs, bedside care, and basic nursing procedures. This course is instructor led with hands-on clinical experience.

 

Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

CMA is 56 hours in length with 16 hours being in a clinical setting. Candidates must currently be a HHA, LTCNA, or DDCA and have worked in a facility for a minimum of six months. This course is instructor led with hands-on clinical experience.

 

Certified Medication Aide Update (CMA-CEU)

CMA-CEU is 16 hours in length. A CMA is required to take an update class every two (2) years. This course is instructor led.

 

Phlebotomy

Phlebotomy is 100 hours in length with 40 hours being in a clinical setting. Students learn how to draw blood for donations, diagnostic tests, transfusions, and research. This course is instructor led with hands-on clinical experience.

 

Basic Life Support CPR (BLS-CPR)

BLS-CPR is 4 hours in length. Healthcare providers take this CPR training and receive an American Heart Association card good for two (2) years.
