2010 Completion Ceremony

 

 
   

 

Wes Watkins Technology Center held its annual completion ceremony Tuesday, May 11th, at 7:00 p.m., in the WWTC Seminar Center. Family members and guests were invited.  A reception was held after the ceremony.

Eighty-Four completers were presented with certificates. The highest honor, the WWTC Outstanding Student of the Year award, went to Christopher J. Chastain, a Residential A/C Technician student from Wetumka.

First runner-up was Darren W. Boyd, a PC Support Technician student from Weleetka.. Second runner-up was Steven P. Spoon, a PC Support Technician student from Holdenville.

Awards were provided by donations from the First United Bank in Holdenville, The Bank N.A. in Holdenville, First National Bank of Holdenville, Citizens Security Bank of Wetumka, Citizens Security Bank of Weleetka, Citizens State Bank in Okemah, Okemah National Bank, WWTC Foundation, WWTC staff members, and WWTC board members.

Other awards presented included the Outstanding Program Completers and the George B. & Mary E. Williams Scholarship awards. 

Two awards assemblies were also held May 11th, during the day.  The first assembly was held at 8:30 a.m. for morning students and the other at 12:30 p.m. for afternoon students.  Program awards included A.M. Student of the Year, P.M. Student of the Year and special awards presented by instructors.  Students were also recognized for perfect attendance and other special achievements.
